“When you change the way you view birth, the way you birth will change.”

Benefits of a birth companion

An incredible Cochran system review published in 2017 proved that continuous labor support did NOT have any adverse effects and indicated many potential BENEFITS to the laboring person and newborn including but not limited to LESS medical interventions.

Research results indicated:

  • Higher instances of spontaneous vaginal birth

  • Decrease in the use of forceps & other instruments for vaginal birth

  • A decrease in cesarean births

  • Less use of pain medication (analgesic)

  • Higher satisfaction & less negative emotions with their childbirth experience

  • Shorter length of labor

  • Lower postpartum depression

  • Decrease in low 5-minute APGAR scores among newborns
